TRBase

TRbase is a database relating tandem repeats to gene locations and disease genes in the human genome. This database identifies both perfect and imperfect tandem repeats of 1-2000 bp unit lengths. Tandem repeats can be selected according to a number of different parameters including repeat unit length, copy number of the repeats, total tandem repeat length, percentage matches and the consensus repeat pattern. Tandem repeats can be searched for in combination with other important features including disease loci, gene names, gene features, disease keywords and OMIM (Online Mendelian Inheritance in Man) numbers. TRbase can be accessed from http://trbase.ex.ac.uk/.
