BioCyc

Other names: BioCyc Database Collection, BioCyc Knowledge Library, biocyc

The BioCyc collection of Pathway/Genome Databases (PGDBs) provides electronic reference sources on the pathways and genomes of hundreds of organisms with completely sequenced genomes. Each database contains the genome, predicted metabolic pathways, predicted genes that encode missing enzymes in metabolic pathways, and predicted operons (bacteria only). Tools available through BioCyc include a genome browser, displays of individual pathways and of the entire metabolic map, 'omics viewers for painting 'omics data onto the metabolic map and genome map, and an extensive collection of tools for comparative genomics and comparative pathway analysis.
