Hustedt Diatom Collection Database

The Hustedt Diatom Collection Database stores information on a large collection of diatom specimens that began with the private collection of Friedrich Hustedt which, in 1968 was housed at the Institut für Meeresforschung in Bremerhaven (now the Alfred Wegener Institute). The collection now comprises many thousands of slides, samples and publications and includes those named by Hustedt as well as those deposited later by other workers, along with literature-, material- and slide-information, as well as light and electron microscopic images when available.
