Central England Haemato-oncology and oncology Research Biobank (CEHRB)

Collection of samples and data across the following diseases: Leukaemia, disease The Central England Haemato-Oncology and oncology Research BioBank (CEHRB) predominantly stores excess material from haemato-oncology and oncology samples referred for diagnostic testing and disease monitoring at the West Midlands Regional Genetics Laboratory (WMRGL). Haemato-oncology samples are stored at presentation and throughout the disease course, including at remission and relapse. In addition CEHRB stores haemato-oncology and oncology samples which are specifically taken for the biobank, usually in response to a specific project. CEHRB is housed within the WMRGL which is accredited by United Kingdom Accreditation Services to ISO15189:2012. The WMRGL serves a population of about 6 million and is the largest UK NHS genetics lab. Due to the large patient population CEHRB is able to collate sufficient research material from all classifications of neoplastic haematological disorders including those that are rare.
