International Epidemiology Databases to Evaluate AIDS Data Exchange Standard

Other names: IeDEA DES

The IeDEA Data Exchange Standard (IeDEA DES) is a patient-centric data model designed to support data harmonization and data exchange among HIV clinics participating in the International Epidemiology Databases to Evaluate AIDS (IeDEA, iedea.org). The variables and code lists have been developed to accommodate data originating in both resource-rich and resource-limited settings. The IeDEA DES was forked with permission from the Europe-centric HICDEP HIV data model in 2012.
