Exploring the provision of supportive care for patients with COPD in Malaysia

Exploring the provision of supportive care for patients with severe, potentially life-threatening COPD in Malaysia: a qualitative study of gaps, barriers, facilitators and solutions from the perspective of patients, healthcare providers and policy makers We aim to explore the views and healthcare experiences of patients in Malaysia with severe, potentially life-threatening COPD, health care providers and policy makers regarding the services that provide (or not) supportive and palliative care for these patients. The findings will inform how the current service provision gap for this patient group may be addressed to meet their currently unmet needs. It has potential to inform palliative care guidelines in Malaysia and ultimately the quality of service provision for these patients.
